I love the way the teachers show passion for their job and for the children
I think we have been extremely lucky as we have been able to provide both our daughters with the opportunity of being able to attend this fabulous preschool.
We had not heard much of Capital City Preschool, as we were based in Melbourne at the time and I found them on the internet. This was back in 2006. But I liked what I saw and read and on the second day after we moved from Melbourne I came and visited the school. Blown away by the organisation of the day, the teachers passionate attitudes I knew I found a great school for Ava.
It was more so as the months went along, I saw Ava grow in her language skills her joy of attending Preschool. This was a complete turnaround from her early days spent in day care. Ava was so interactive at preschool. The teachers were always encouraging her and focused on her loves. They even put on a ‘writing party’ for her one day. Ava’s love for writing first began at Preschool and the teachers were quick to further enhance her love of it.
By the time Ava was ready to start school, she was very confident in knowing how the school day operated. The ringing of the bell, lunch time procedures, quite times and lessons.
Then having to move back to Melbourne we had our second child in 2008. Come 2012 we had to move back to Wellington again. The most exciting part of the move was that our 3 year old Lauren now gets to have this same wonderful experience that Ava had. Again I have watched Lauren over the past 3-4 months since starting show greater confidence and her language skills improve.
I love the way the teachers show passion for their job and for the children. The freedom of play time and structured learning time is a great balance. Lauren and Ava love the trips to the city library, parks and Te Papa. The Holiday Programs are a great bonus, and the kids look forward to each day. Day Care suited a purpose, but Capital City Preschool offers growth and encouragement.
If only I could tell every parent what a wonderful preschool Capital City is.
